4 Dreamy Southern California Beach Wedding Venues
A beach wedding is total goals – but a SoCal beach wedding is the stuff dreams are made of. Here are four beachfront and ocean view wedding venues around Los Angeles.
At this chic Santa Monica hotel, you can literally walk out the door and onto the sand of Santa Monica State Beach. The hotel itself has stunning architecture and impeccable food – but though you can find that at plenty of other beach hotels, you definitely can’t get the same view of the Santa Monica Pier that you can from Casa Del Mar. Imagine those wedding photos with the glowing ferris wheel in the background. Plus, with the pier in easy walking distance, you can take the party there when the reception winds down.
Shutters on the Beach is on the same block as Casa Del Mar, but the two venues have very different vibes. They’re both high end hotels with impeccable food and amenities, but Casa Del Mar has a more formal feel, while Shutters really takes advantage of its location on the coast. An outdoor terrace space directly overlooking the water lets you have a ceremony that feels like it’s on the beach, but without actually having to be in the sand. Plus, the on-site spa makes your day-of prep a breeze.
Malibu Rocky Oaks Estate Vineyards
While Malibu Rocky Oaks isn’t directly on the water, there’s an argument to be made that the venue actually has the both of both worlds. A vineyard producing estate wines, this Tuscan-style villa is perched high atop a mountain, where you can see wine grapes up close and an ocean view not far away. The best part: this vineyard isn’t open to the public yet, so it really has a wow factor that you won’t find with other venues, because you’re giving your guests access to a place they haven’t seen yet and wines they haven’t tasted yet.
Marina Del Rey
This hotel provides an incredible blend of urban sophistication and beach scenery. Not only does the Marina Del Rey Marriott have direct beach access – perfect for a ceremony in the sand – but the hotel also has several event spaces, including the rooftop California Ballroom that can host a wedding of up to 650, which also has an attached outdoor terrace. Fun additional perks like an outdoor fire pit area with games will provide your guests with plenty of entertainment before and after the big event. Traveling guests will especially appreciate that the hotel is within easy distance of LAX.
